It's warming up

Today it got up to 51 degrees today! We went to the Chenoa Family Restaurant with my Father-in-Law, and had my most favorite meal, Corned Beef and Cabbage; they have it every Wednesday.
It was very good food, I even have leftovers for tomorrow!!!
Reggie went out today and tried to get the squirrel who hangs out in the tree right next door, it's half his size, and I swear this squirrel is part mime, he can stay very still for long periods of time.
Oh, and Reggie tried being a beaver today, while we were eating at the restaurant, he tried to eat his way out of the gate we had him behind at my F-I-Ls house. He ate one of the slats out of it. He is okay; the gate not so much.
We took him with us to see his Grandpa.
Later!

Dump the Toidy Day!

We went and dumped the grey/black tanks today; we had to go to the other side of the park to do it. We also filled up the fresh water tank, but that is in another area, since none of the water in the park is turned on except that one spot. We got it done in about two hours, we left all our stuff on the spot while we were gone; none of the squirrels took off with anything.
It only got down to 35 degrees last night, so it hopefully is warming up a little.
Later!

Still Coooolllldddddd!

Still only getting up into the low 40s during the day, and still windy. Went to visit my Father-in-law yesterday, Linda and Patty, my sis-in-law helped him with some sorting, laundry, and other stuff; I watched Reggie. Reggie helped with some stuff, and watched me.
Then we got subs, and Reggie begged for some of my BMT.
Other than that, we are trying to stay warm. We got all our medical appts scheduled for April, and are hoping to be southbound by May, maybe sooner!

Cold!

We are parked at Evergreen Lake, inside Comlara Park, Illinois, we got here day before yesterday. IT HAS BEEN COLD HERE EVERYDAY. We aren't hooked up to water because it isn't turned on yet due to the cold weather. It has only been in the 30s most of today, but the sun shows through every once in awhile.
We saw a herd of deer yesterday when we went in to town to visit the in-laws; Reggie wanted to jump out the windshield to get to them, but he was properly detained from doing that.
Right now Reggie is barking his butt off at a squirrel, there are many here.
Did I mention it's cold here? We go to visit Linda's dad tomorrow.
That's all for now, we will try to stay warm!

Stop-then go again!

We left Perryville this morning when we planned to, nine-ish. I had to put some air in the front drivers side tire; the extender for the valve stem had a leak, so Linda saw it was flat last night. We put about a 100 lbs in it while it was getting dark, topped it off this morning.
THEN, we get to the RV site in Litchfield, and the guy says we can't stay there cause the ground is to saturated with water from all the rain they had there. So we get back on I55 and start north again. Linda looked in the Woodall's book and finds a KOA campground near Springfield, she called and we got in there. It's nice, but we are supposed to get some heavy wind tonight, and possibly tomorrow.
Later!

P.S. The tire didn't leak any air!

Words fail me right now for a title

We were getting ready to leave from West Memphis to PERRYVILLE, Missouri. The black tank was not emptying out. I took the paddle assembly for the line because I had trouble last week with that valve; that was not was it was not working. I took off the sewer hose a put a water up there and shot some water up the pipe slowly; we had to do it once before when it was stopped up. At first nothing, i quit shooting water up the pipe, then a little liquid came out, then it shot out full blast before I could blink! I got soaked everywhere, and we had a huge puddle of yucky stuff all over the ground and water compartment before I could close the valve.
A guy next door gave Linda a big bottle of alcohol, so she wiped everything down with it, all the tools, connectors, and other stuff that got hit. Luckily Linda didn't get any stuff on her!
I went up to the shower room and took a long, hot, soapy shower, then put my clothes in a plastic bag.
We got propane and left for PERRYVILLE about two hours later than we intended to, but we made it okay.

I sure hope all those shots I got in the Air Force are still working!?

Cleaning Day

We did some cleaning inside the motorhome today, after which I checked the tires and straps on the tow dollie, and tires on the RV. Then I duct taped the sewer hose, rust ate through the plastic part. I think the duct tape will last a while, until we get back home.
We took Reggie for a long walk today; all the way around the campground, then he took a nap.
The gift shop here has so much Elvis Presley stuff, anything you want: mouse pads, fridge magnets, toilet covers, book marks, jewelry, (Thank ya, Thank ya very much!).
Tomorrow we leave for PERRYVILLE, Missouri. We stayed there before, and Perryville Campground is great.
That's all for now!

Howdy

Hello from West Memphis, Arkansas! Linda caught up on the laundry, I did the dishes and took Reggie for a walk. It's windy here today, but nice and sunny. We figured we are about halfway back to Illinois, we started in Panama City.
Reggie has had a few really good walks here.
That's all for now.

Hanging out

We hung out in the motorhome today. We have a killer WI-FI signal here so we loaded the new updates to our iPads; it's free and it works better than our Sprint MI-FI! Reggie has been pretty lonely here; no dogs, no squirrels, hardly any trees.
It was overcast until this afternoon, and a little cool out, so Reggie wore his shirt out most of the day. He would go out and have gravel particles all over his stomach and chest when he got done walking around, so the shirt kept him cleaner.
Tomorrow we head to the KOA Campground in Marion, Arkansas. They have a dog run with agility equipment in it!
Se you later!

Biloxi to Canton, Mississippi

We left Biloxi around nine this morning for Canton, it was overcast most of the day, until we got to Canton and it started to storm. The RV park is kind of at a incline, so now the butt of our RV is way up in the air, most times it's the opposite.
Right now we are taking it easy, but there are no squirrels for Reggie to chase, not many trees either! The WI-FI works real well.
Movie town RV park is okay for an overniter, but we are only staying for two, we are taking it slow going back to Illinois.
That's it for now.

Cookout at Majestic Oaks

The folks who run Majestic Oaks have a Saturday noon lunch for the guests, today was a BBQ with hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, and death by chocolate cake. We were stuffed when we left. They do this every Saturday, at no cost to the guests. Next week is pizza, but we won't be here! The people here are great, they keep the place looking great, and work really hard.
Also Reggie got some hot dog, which he will enjoy over the next few days; he even shared some with Frodo. Frodo shared some of his Waggin Tales chicken strips with Reggie.
Monday we move on, so tomorrow we prepare for the move, check the tires, put the loose stuff away, clean the inside. Heading up to Canton, a few hours up the road.

Tom, Shirley, and Frodo

Here are our friends from ECRVBR

Roll me out the door!

We went to the buffet at the Beau Rivage this afternoon, with our friends Tom & Shirley Holt ( Frodo's Mom and Dad). We met them at Emerald Coast RV Resort; we met up with them here at Majestic Oaks, in Biloxi.
Today was also Reggie's birthday, here is 3 years old now.
Oh, we also won $41 at the casino on the way out! We had a good time!

Paco

Here is a picture of Paco, he lives at the Emerald Coast RV Resort, Linda loves him so much.
He is an old soul.

Sent from my iPad

Rain

It was raining cats and dogs this morning! Reggie went out with his new raincoat, and it worked great. We are just hanging out right now.
We are going to eat at the Beau Rivage Casino tomorrow, their buffet is awesome.
That's all for today!

The weather

Well, it's overcast and windy today. We are just chillin. We took Reggie for a walk earlier, or as we like to say, "The Squirrel Hunt." He checks out all the trees on his back legs.
We planned out our next destinations today.
More to come!

Biloxi, Mississippi

We arrived in Biloxi this afternoon. We had a very nice trip from Foley, Alabama. We woke up this morning to no power, so we used our pioneer skills; we had to boil water on the gas stove and use instant coffee! But the power came on after an hour, so we got hot showers before we left.
We met up with one of Reggie's friends: Frodo and his Mom & Dad from Emerald Coast RV Resort.
More to come, we have ice cream to eat; we splurged tonight.

Rainy windy day

It's still windy, plus raining here in Foley, Alabama. Reggie was kind of confused yesterday and today; I think he was wondering where all his buddies are.
We will be leaving tomorrow morning for Majestic Oaks RV resort in Biloxi, Mississippi. Right now we are just chillin, and Reggie is letting the ducks and squirrels know he is here.
Toodles! :)

Trip back to the home patch

We are in Foley, Alabama. We left Florida at nine this morning, and got here about one this afternoon. It's really windy here, and it's supposed to rain.
We got the coffee pot set up 1st thing after hooking up the 'lectric, water and poop chute. The poops go to a magical place and are recycled as politicians.
We will be heading to Biloxi, Miss-iss-ippi ( that's the only way I can remember how to spell Misippipsissi) on Sunday.
Later!

Reggie's haircut

"Shave and a haircut..two bits"

Cleaning day

Linda and I cleaned up the RV today; she vacuumed, swiffered the floor, and wiped down the woodwork. I wiped down the dashboard, the seats up front, and some other minor stuff.
We are leaving Friday, so we didn't want to take all the sand back to Illinois.
Reggie got a haircut and bath yesterday, so he don't stink anymore!
